Q: What is the biggest mistake you see real estate agents making?

A: The biggest mistake I see real estate agents making is chasing the new thing that promises to make all their problems and stresses disappear. There is no substitute for making and developing relationships with people.

Q: What is one tip you would give to a new agent starting out?

A: A tip I would give to a new agent starting out is to create a vision of what you would like your life to look like both personally and professionally, figure out why this is important to you, and then put all your focus on this vision. Don't let anything distract or discourage you from reaching this life and, most importantly, remember to enjoy the journey. There will be ups and downs, but the downs aren't a negative thing—they are just a lesson for you to learn from.

Q: What advice do you have for maintaining a work-life balance?

A: My advice for a work-life balance is to know what you want, why you want it, and have faith that it will be coming your way.

Q: How do you market yourself to new clients?

A: I market myself to new clients by being authentic and letting them know we want to build a lifetime relationship with them, where we can be their resource for everything dealing with real estate. What is best for their current situation will always come first.

Q: How do you deal with market shifts?

A: We deal with shifting markets by always keeping an eye on the monthly trends and adjusting accordingly. It is imperative for us to be up to date on what is going on in our local market as well as the national market, so we can always give our clients the most beneficial guidance and advice.

Q: What is some advice you would give to a first-time homebuyer?

A: The advice I would give to a first-time homebuyer is to find an agent you are comfortable with and can trust. This person will make a huge impact in how the purchase of a home will turn out as well as how stressful the process will be.
