What's covered in a wholesale and distribution insurance policy?

Our Bis-Pak® wholesale insurance policy combines property and liability coverages into one convenient insurance form. Additional coverage options give you the flexibility and power to tailor the program to meet your needs and protect your business against loss.

Cyber liability and data breach coverages

You need cyber liability coverage if you could be responsible for or sustain a business loss due to, the unintended spreading of malware or a deliberate act that prevents others from gaining access to your computer system through the Internet. If you accidentally lose or release your customers’ personal information, we will pay for data breach response expenses.

Property

Our business property insurance provides the protection you need for your business's building and contents. Acuity also offers several optional coverages to fill common coverage gaps, such as business income and employee dishonesty.

Employment-related practices liability insurance (ERPL)

Our employment-related practices liability insurance protects you against claims made by employees alleging wrongful acts you commit as an employer, backed by the strength, stability, and expertise of Acuity.

Crime and fidelity

Our employment-related practices liability insurance protects you against claims made by employees alleging wrongful acts you commit as Acuity’s commercial crime coverage protects you against the dishonest acts of your employees and others, including theft of your property, fraud, or theft of a client’s property. Eleven types of coverage are available, including employee theft, forgery or alteration, computer and funds transfer fraud, theft of money and securities, robbery or safe burglary, and money orders and counterfeit money.

Equipment breakdown

Your business depends on air conditioning, hot water heaters, boilers, electrical systems, business machinery, and electrical equipment. Equipment breakdown insurance pays for physical damage to equipment, business income, spoilage, and extra expenses to limit equipment loss or speed repairs.
