Matching Siding Coverage

Acuity offers this endorsement to ensure consistent quality of home siding materials after a loss caused by wind or hail. Consistent siding appearance contributes to the curb appeal and value of your home.

Will my homeowners insurance policy cover damage to my siding?

A standard homeowners policy agrees to pay for direct physical loss to property. It would repair or replace siding damaged by wind or hail. Undamaged siding may not be covered by the standard policy. Acuity’s Matching Siding Coverage provides additional coverage.

What does the Matching Siding endorsement cover?

Coverage applies to mismatches resulting from texture differences, color fading, and discontinuation of materials.

This endorsement gives you the option to replace undamaged siding when Acuity repairs or replaces damaged siding and the replacement siding does not match the undamaged siding.

In addition to siding, coverage is included for mismatched soffits, fascia, trim, and shutters.

How much coverage can I get?

Acuity will cover damages up to your selected limit. Matching Siding Coverage may be purchased with a limit of $10,000, $20,000, $30,000, or $40,000.

What if I don’t replace undamaged siding?

If siding is damaged by wind or hail and you do not replace any undamaged siding, we agree to waive the deductible otherwise applicable to the loss.

*This endorsement is not available in all states due to state-specific regulations.
