Customers of United Insurance know that they can count on Erinn Tardiff to deliver fast, expert service.

“Erinn truly enjoys working with small business clients and understands the urgency of their requests. She takes the time to listen and educate them to the world of insurance while problem solving. During COVID, she also spent many hours supporting distraught clients who were losing or restructuring their businesses. Erinn has definitely earned the trust of her clients,” says Carol Clark, Manager of the Portland, Maine-based agency.

Erinn started her career in the insurance industry 22 years ago, working part-time while still in school and during summers. She joined United Insurance 10 years ago and has held several roles over time. Today she is Team Lead of the commercial lines department, overseeing the overall direction and development of the commercial account manager team. She also holds the Certified Professional Insurance Agent (CPIA) and Workers’ Compensation Professional (WCP) designations.

According to Erinn, dependability is the key to great customer service. “Always do what you say you’ll do. If you say you’ll call a client right back, do that! I treat each phone call, email, or client interaction as if it were one of my family members on the other end. It’s my job to understand my clients, what they need, and to provide them with the policy that will best protect their business. Asking a lot of questions and listening are the two best things you can do,” she says.

Erinn truly enjoys working with customers. “I like that I get to help people. I like explaining coverage, why they need it, and how it will benefit them. I like that I get to drive down the street and see a business that I insure or see a client’s truck parked at a job site,” she says, adding that everyone at United Insurance shares a commitment to customers.

“We are a large agency, but we’re a family—and we have fun!” she says. “Each person within our agency plays a key role in client retention and works hard to meet the needs of our clients and exceed their expectations.”

Congratulations to Erinn Tardiff, an Outstanding Service Professional!
