In late 2019, we asked you to send the stories of your agencies giving back to your communities, and you sent wonderful stories. With closed offices and social distancing, Agents Have Heart celebrations were put on hold with the hope of in-person visits returning quickly. That temporary pause lasted longer than we ever expected, but we’re excited to begin recognizing the great work of our agent honorees again with virtual celebrations! Here is a video showing the new virtual celebration along with three more incredible Agents Have Heart honorees.
Vinnie Mannino
Vinnie Mannino started an annual charity event in 2010 to create awareness and raise funds for wounded soldiers and their families through a local charity named Xtreme Couture GI Foundation. His event, Operation Knockout, has raised more than $381,000 for wounded soldiers and their families. He has committed countless hours each year to put this MMA event together, and his tradition of service to these worthy families has made a tremendous impact.
Tom Sutter
Tom started Cal’s Angels in memory of his oldest child, Cal, who lost his battle with leukemia in August of 2006 at the age of 13. To date, they have granted over 2,000 wishes of children fighting cancer, assisted thousands of families directly and indirectly, and funded research through clinical trials in conjunction with Lurie Children’s Hospital in Chicago. We want to take a moment to celebrate Tom Sutter for the strength and commitment he’s shown by turning personal tragedy into something that has helped so many others.
KMRD Partners
For the last eight years, KMRD Partners has provided family-size hams to the Keystone Opportunity Council in Souderton, PA, in lieu of purchasing holiday greeting cards. Beyond providing a monetary gift, every week beginning in November, employees buy hams and deliver them to the Opportunity Council to be distributed to local families in need. They spend their time giving back so families in need have high-quality protein during the holiday season. To date, they have donated more than 1,750 hams to this great cause. We want to celebrate their tradition of service to their community and their team attitude toward helping others.
