Senior Client Manager Debbie Griffith works closely with Marsh McLennan Agency (MMA) commercial clients, addressing challenges and solving problems while maintaining strong relationships with customers, underwriters, and team members.

“Debbie is extremely client-focused,” says Mark Barden, Senior Vice President, Business Insurance. “She is detail-oriented and ensures our clients have the proper coverage programs in place. She’s the face of MMA to our clients in many cases and has developed excellent working relationships with them, which adds to our ability to maintain long relationships with clients.”

Debbie has been in the insurance industry for over 24 years and with MMA for 10 years. She works in the  Richmond, Virginia, area, serving the agency’s Mid-Atlantic region, and holds the Accredited Customer Service Representative (ACSR), Commercial Lines Coverage Specialist (CLCS), and Certified Professional Insurance Agent (CPIA) designations.

With customer relationships, Debbie says that honesty is the foundation of trust. “If there is an issue, get in front of it. If you make an error, fess up and work to get it resolved. If you do not know the answer, tell the client you will find out. Our clients genuinely appreciate this honesty, which is key to success in retaining business and creating long-lasting relationships,” she says.

“I love the challenges of working in the insurance industry and having the opportunity and ability to instill confidence in our clients,” Debbie adds. “They desire to know they have the coverages in place for their business to continue to be successful and profitable. We are, after all, an extension of our clients’ businesses and, in many ways, their success is ours.”

Debbie says that her colleagues at MMA pull together to deliver exceptional service. “I am privileged to work with a great team of people eager to share their expertise and advice.  I am awed and educated every day by my coworkers at the agency and our partners in the industry.”

Congratulations to Debbie Griffith, an Outstanding Service Professional!
