    Most benefit plans have a period of time during which an employee can be added to a plan based on the date of new hire. There may also be an open enrollment time every year.  If you are in the midst of running your business and forget to submit the appropriate paperwork, your employee may assume he or she is covered.  Any claims that occur after the intended effective date would not be covered.  Acuity’s employee benefits liability can cover the costs that occur based on these errors.
