Acuity announced that it will write commercial insurance in New Hampshire effective September 10 and has begun appointing independent agents in the state. This is welcome news for independent agents seeking a competitive, viable, and stable insurance market for New Hampshire businesses.

“Agents need the resources of carriers that have the proven ability to meet their commitments,” said Acuity President and CEO Ben Salzmann. “Acuity brings to New Hampshire a history of over 90 years of doing business with independent agents and deep experience in commercial lines.”

“Having a market resource with the strength, stability, and consistency of Acuity will be important to independent agents throughout New Hampshire and surrounding states,” said Brian Little, Acuity Territory Director for New Hampshire, Vermont, and Maine.

Acuity offers a wide array of monoline and package policies in commercial lines, as well as many important and unique coverage enhancement endorsements. The company is known for delivering expert loss control capability, world-class claims service, and effective managed care for workers.

The 56th largest P&C insurer in the country based on size, Acuity’s financial strength has been confirmed both by leading industry organizations as well as by its historical performance. Rated A+ by both A.M. Best and Standard & Poor’s, Acuity has been named by Ward Financial Group for 19 straight years as one of the top 50 best-run insurers nationwide.

“We have the financial strength, national reputation, and technological leadership that have helped make us the carrier of choice for independent agents,” Salzmann said.
