Unfortunately, it’s not always smooth sailing. That’s why we provide the option of selecting the coverage that works best for you, whether that’s choosing specific coverages or selecting the single limit option to cover your boat, motor, trailer, and accessories.


Accessories and personal effects

A $500 limit is included at no charge to provide coverage for boat accessories and other personal property.




Boatowners program

This program is designed to insure boats 26 feet or more in length as well as boats with cooking and sleeping facilities.


Discounts

Enjoy a discount if your yacht has a ship-to-shore radio telephone, built-in CO2 fire extinguishing system, vapor detection system, or depth finder, or if it is powered by a diesel engine. There’s also a discount available for those completing a yacht instruction course.

    Report the accident to the police, even if it’s minor. Take photos of the scene and get as much information as possible from anyone else involved (vehicle information, names, addresses, insurance providers, etc). Contact us as soon as possible to report a claim, via phone at 800.242.7666, our website, or through your local agent.  


    Yes, a 5% discount applies if the principal operator of the yacht has successfully completed a course through the U.S. Power Squadron or U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary.


    Yes, passengers on the boat are covered under the liability portion of the policy.


    A $5,000 limit for accessories and personal effects is included at no charge. Higher limits are available—just talk to your agent.
